Interpreting a Woman’s FMI

Are you wondering how to calculate your fat mass percentage? Or how to calculate your FMI? When calculating the FMI, we take height, age, weight and gender into account. A woman’s FMI will therefore be calculated differently than that of a man. 

The ideal FMI for a woman is between 25 and 30%. Below 25%, the individual can be considered too thin. With a fat mass in excess of 30%, the individual may have an excessively high percentage of body fat.
